Grant Making in Orangeburg County
Grant writing is a process that requires good communication and organization between all participants. Communities seeking assistance should be advised that not every project is fundable. Nearly every proposal has merit but acceptability is based on availability. Should a grant exist, the project must be consistent with our mission and the funding agency’s goals. Please be advised that the Grants Administration is governed by federal, state, and local laws and cannot assist individuals seeking profit or personal financial assistance.
Refusal & Acceptance of Proposals
We also reserve the right to refuse a proposal if it is not consistent with our mission; if resources are limited, or if that project should conflict with any federal, state, or local restriction. Due to the highly competitive nature of most grants, funding may vary from year to year, but we are enormously grateful to those agencies who have allowed us to better our communities and expand development through their programs.
