Responsibilities
The Judicial Services Division provides vital services to the citizens of Orangeburg County. Deputies in this division:
- Execute civil process papers
- Provide security at the County Courthouse and the County Administration Building
- Serve criminal warrants
- Transport prisoners nationwide
Probate Orders & Commitments
The Judicial Services Division is also tasked with the service of probate orders and commitments issued by the Probate Court and Family Court of Orangeburg County to include but not limited to mental patients, juvenile matters, and vulnerable adults.
Law Enforcement Services
This unit is also capable of providing law enforcement services including investigative and arrest powers to include the apprehension of state and federal fugitives.
