What is Litter Control?

The Orangeburg County Litter Control department's responsibility is to enforce the Orangeburg County Litter ordinances and South Carolina litter laws. We do this by investigating illegal dump sites, prosecuting, and educating the public on the proper procedures to dispose of unwanted trash. Litter Control also identifies, addresses and responds to complaints on overgrown lots and unsafe structures. You may reach us by phone or via the contact form at the bottom of the page.

Community Cleanup

Taking pride in one's community is a very admirable and selfless act; and we would like to thank all of you who have done cleanups with us in the past. For anyone interested in coordinating a cleanup, just contact our office and we will supply bags, gloves, and vests. We will also pick up the bags from your cleanup the following business day after your're finished. Now is the time to work together to keep our county beautiful!
