OCSO answers community complaints
10/3/2015 | Three Orangeburg men have been taken into custody on drug-related charges after the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to complaints of drug activity.
Orangeburg County Sheriff’s narcotics units began conducting surveillance on a Recap Road residence earlier this week after receiving complaints that drugs were being sold from a residence.
After an undercover operation was conducted, it was determined the allegations were true in that illegal drugs were being sold at the location.
Investigators on Thursday executed search warrants on the residence, which turned up a quantity of crack cocaine and marijuana.
A .22 caliber pistol was discovered in the residence, and a truck outside was found to have been stolen from Orangeburg.
Bond was set Friday on 18-year-old Omar Thompson, of 709 Recap Road, at $25,000 surety after he was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana within proximity of a school, and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine within proximity of a school.
Randolph Frazier, 22, of 167 Murray Road, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine. His bond was set on the charge at $10,000 surety.
Rashard Riley, 24, of 137 Fortune Road, was charged with simple possession of marijuana and given a bond of $620.
